I did not have the power to stop Reagan in 1974, nor did I have the power to stop Gabriel in 1985. I still cannot stop them and I do write to Schools of Social Work and Education stating that it will take a large full house university endeavor to engage the mind-shattering realities of what they did, however, I do have the power to bring testimony, into a blog room of deaf people, occasionally a political blog, or indymedia and post the evidence. When even a few people share my concern, having been more or less eased into actually looking at the evidence and acknowledging what happened, it might be possible to inspire constructive acts of inquiry by, for example the Board of Trustees at a major university, or the American Umpire Association, to question how this came to be done so openly without police review or society catching on.
Since my abilities and powers were inherently limited I can't really change the fact that my means is very limited, but again I do write to Congress, teachers associations and other writers. Frequently I receive refusal to look at the evidence which in turn raises the question, why not? Why do they refuse to acknowledge the evidence?
