I have car accident in last morning at student parking lot. My car has moderate damage - frontside bumper and it isn't very drivable, except for city streets. I have to turn my car to body shop to get fixed. When I drive in student parking lot and I use shortcut to get to parking deck. I just yield my car and look nothing for other cars, so I turned to left until and, student drove very fast and hit my car. I was very stressed and frustrated about car accident and I told student to call campus police, but it took forever for police to arrive to fill the accident report and had very long talk about what accident happened. The student won't admit if he is driving too fast and he is just say that his car and my car got in accident at same time, even he doesn't declare me as my fault. The police is unable to determine about who is fault because it is very complicated situation, it means I have to pay deductible to fix my car and other student has to pay deductible on his own too.

At UAB, too many students drive too fast and recklessly on parking lot and parking deck.

I'm getting more nervous about find a parking without getting into car accident.

I'm sorry that your car got another ouchie so soon after the last one.

Is there any skid mark at the scene? Most police was able to determine that one car goes too fast or not.

Yup, the car accident made me consider to follow your model - take online courses instead of traditional classes and not worried about getting into car accident.

I don't understand why students drive too crazy. :(

Save some money, just bring a dash cam and drive again into the parking lot. This time you'll have evidence and free car repairs!

very ironic...we talked about car accidents and you got in one..git this, just maybe 3 miles from here(my home), a person lost her life b/c the driver failed to yield tuhday. They got hit by a semi-trailer. (all over on local news)

Last month, a college student drove 70 mph over speed bump and rolled several times..knocked down 20 foot street light pole... he survived. ( you should see the damage to pole  )

That's what I finally did after my prior Jeep was totaled. I don't trust other drives, at all.

Ironically, it was totaled after leaving the college, right in front of the campus.

Well, maybe you should leave the car at home and take the bus to college so that you don't worry about the accident. Two times is way too many accidents so soon. You had just had the car repair before you ventured out to the student parking lot.

I am sorry that happen to you and the student could not admit that he was wrong making it too fast. Remember we watch the video about accidents in Russia. Very terrible and very dangerous. We have toooo many automobiles all over the Earth. Nothing is safe from it. Dang! :(

To bad the police could not determine who was at fault. We're you or the other driver cited for anything? If you are certain he was at fault you could take him to small claims court. The judge will surely figure out who is at fault.

I'm always wary about riding in college campuses

You go where kids frequent, ALWAYS expect immature recklessness. They haven't learned to check their ego, give them a wake up call (use your horn, report license plate, flash lights, etc.).

The bus and other public transportations are out of option because there is no bus coverage in my area, and I live in exurb (small city). The bus service is really terrible in downtown and they don't keep on time as scheduled, due to lack of funds.

Yup, it is common for people to not admit about what happened because they don't want to be double pay, like have to pay for their damage and pay for my damage.
