Capt. Phil Harris, star of the Deadliest Catch has died at 53.

I think I saw a glimpse of his show, wasn't he the one that was coughing blood from his lungs? I remember that he called hospital from ship and they all said, "YOU HAVE TO BE IN ER NOW!" But he was like way far from it in a ship.

That was last year. It happened again but this time they were in port. Last year he was smoking while inthe hospital.

He will be missed. May he always have craps.

damn... when a person coughs blood originating from lungs, it's often a bad sign and that it may be something worse to come. So when I saw him complaining about the bloody cough, I knew he was going to die very soon considering the vices and stress he has with his job. No fun.

Yes I saw it a few times on the show. It happened when the blood clot passed thru one of his lungs. He was very very lucky cuz it was fatal if blocked.
