Do anyone of you like Cannoli?

Cannoli - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

If you do,

Post it here where you ate cannoli and think they are the best. I'd love to visit any states to stop by getting cannoli!

My all time favorite is in NYC called Venieros. I love their cannoli and pastries. I always get cannoli and pastries from venieros since i was a kid. But I haven't eat there about 2 years ago. I am in mood for venieros right now! :tears:

anyone of you who want to visit NYC, be sure to stop by Venieros. :eek3:

Yes, I do. He and his wife live about 45 miles from me now. But he won't even give me his recipes. They were his Italian mother's and he protects them like they were gold!:giggle:

italian people are like that. surprisingly, no one in my (italian) relatives have recipe of cannoli.. guess they were busy working to survive in nyc. No wonder we keep coming to that bakery in nyc. :giggle:

The only recipe he has ever allowed me to have is for Sunday Gravy, a sauce he makes with short ribs, meat balls, and Italian sausage in a tomatoe sauce. He let me watch him make it one time, so I can kind of do my own version....but his is much better! He keeps his secrets to himself!:giggle:

I happened went to BJ's (wholesale store same idea as Sam's, Costco etc)... before Christmas time... they gave us awesome samples...ham, cannoli, don't remember what else...anyway I took one of cannoli..it was good! Mini one..so cute! :giggle:

some bakeries sell cannoli and they tastes SO AWFUL! i am very picky when it comes with cannoli. that is why i always ask where did cannoli comes from. If i knew it comes from italian owners then i will go for it. if it comes from non italian people then i will have lots of considering if i should go for it or not. nah, i will eat it then will be more likely disappointed. :giggle: cannoli is my weakness. im very saddd that i dont live in Long Island anymore! Life goes on! lol

Cannoli is my weakness. I couldn't live without them at all since I'm half Italian. I'm also very picky on the bakeries and grocery stores. Grocery stores' cannolis are so horrible, not so great.
I do have the recipe but I never have tried making them because I don't have time because it is very time consuming. I inherited the Italian food and desserts from my late grandmam who got it from her Italian born mom.

However there is one bakery that has the best cannolis right here in CT. The bakery is Angela Mia on the Post Road in Norwalk, CT. Yes, it is running by the Italian family since late 50's or early 60's. Whatever I go into that town, sometimes I'd stop by to buy a box of cannolis.

Thank you! insanemisha, i remember the name if i visit in CT. and thanks for the link! :yay: those pastries look SO goooood to me!.

Last weekend, I ate cannoli from Venieros. But I was disappointed that I ate ONE stick. After that I was distracted with my sister, dad and kids around in the house. i totally forget to eat another cannoli. My sister and dad ate all of them. One cannoli is better than NONE. it tastes soo good, but it was not enough for me. :mad2:

The best cannoli I had was when I was living in Burlington VT. Absolutely delicious
