I would like a lot of candy, beer, and wine for this nice Trek 9.9 OCLV. I just want to drink and drink.

I'm flat out not happy about lack of Deaf Events that I was unable to go with my girlfriend. I'm flat out not happy that at the age of 35 I realize that I don't want to go through growth pain of teaching ASL. I hate that I won't have my girlfriend for Nov. 3 deaf event at Harper. I can go to as many U of Michigan football games as I want to go to, but I won't be happy missing out on deaf events.

My girlfriend and I talk about getting married and having kids. I really don't care any more. If I get married, I would have to go to hearing Church every Sunday. I flat out don't care about Church camaraderies. Bikes, being self employed, and old cars are what I live for. I feel like being a rebel and going on road trips.

Ok, let me know what you would give me for this nice bike.

I am trying again. I have nothing going on. Anyone want to give me a package of wine and beer for my bike? I have nothing going on. I had no date for SUper Bowl Party. No date for Valentine Day nor did I have a date for 2013 CHicago Auto show. I will be happy to drink and drink and drink. I just want a fair trade for my $$$ bike.

Out of curiosity, did you ask anyone to the Super Bowl Party, Valentine Day or Auto show? If you at least asked, you don't have need to drink and drink because you did what you had to do.

You can sell the bike and use the money for wine, beer or treats instead of trading it. I'd suggest a better investment might be a gym membership and a haircut appointment if you want to get dates. Beer and wine will only help you AFTER you get the dates.

Don't give up..

I tried to make small talks to different peoples. The conversations never got far enough for me to ask if they wanted to come.

I've been there. A lot of times it's hard to be understood well enough to ask for a date. It's difficult, but it's not impossible to get to that point. Ask for email or some other form of communication like VRS. Once you have that, you'll be on a level playing field as far as communication. After that, don't wait too long to ask. You don't want to be put in the friend zone.

You might get rejected, but honestly, you won't be any more alone than if you don't ask anyone.

I'm sure there are deaf events around, you might have to dig a little deeper to find them. Take another course at a local school on ASL even if you already know it.

I don't think he was having a communication issue with them. it's more like feeling socially-awkward with them.
 
Yeah, I get tired of people wanting to go out with other people and not me. I just hate it. Sometimes I feel like I am worth nothing. Other people can have Peter Gabriel all to themselves, but I hardly know him and not worried about him.

Perhaps you should take a break from dating for a while, relax and focus on yourself. Join a gym, take a course, do something that interest you. Sometimes you get dates when you are not really looking for it. Once you have rested up, you can start looking for dates again.

It sounds like you need to give yourself some time..

it's not the dating that is a problem in here... it's him trying to socialize with friends...
 
Maybe it's the turbocharger jokes. Maybe it's that I'm obsessed about Impala/Caprice wagon. Maybe it's that I didn't get to really know people.

looks like you would be able to easily make friends with people who love cars like you.
 
its time for you to realize that a lack of money is not the reason why you are unhappy.

You need to be willing to want to change. Get up - quit your current girlfreind and move to another area like state or town that has a large group of deaf/hoh in that area. rochester, ny is one. washington,dc is another. I wouldnt go to NYC . not my style. What you really need to start over and have deaf friends first and grow from there. I realize at your age - its a bit hard to do but you can do it.

Know the feeling, Derek. I suck at it. Either I'm all-serious, I'm too deep, or I have very little in the way of small talk. All the conversations never get very far. Oh well. I'm thousands of years apart from most people. They don't know what to do with me, and vice-versa.
