can a deaf person be an award winning model

Okay, I think the 'Fun' times are over and let's get back on the topic, shall we? ;)

Doesn't Marlee Martin counts as model ?? There are tons of her picture all over internet, mag, etc...

In general , deaf people dont know HOW TO DRESS PROPERLY. I am sick of seeing deaf people dressing LIKE BUM at clubs or bars.

That's my job. :squint:

No your job is to be my partner in creating facetious dialogue that no deaf person may understand or concieve, and to explain to me the folly of my ways after I cannot comprehend our audience's lack of comprehension.

You sure succeed most of the times...

No offence, but I'm always lost!!

No one knows you're deaf in pictures...:giggle:

In pictures no, but sometimes in video, yes. I find that deaf people often have very penetrating and expressive eyes. Or, you could probably flip that around and say hearing people tend to have dull and wandering eyes. In any case, if you watch a video panning through a group of people, sometimes you can pick out a deaf person by their eyes and their facial expressions.

It seems to me that this fact alone actually might be an advantage to a deaf person in a modelling career. To be able to express an emotion clearly on the face is a gift that would help a model convey what the clothing designer is trying to show about their clothing line.

I agree, we are certainly a lot more expressive, not only with our eyes but our body movements...You have said it really well!!

Thanks a lot, I thought that was the worse picture of me!! Anyway, Guido can believe what he wants, we live in a free world, if my ideas don't agree with his, its something I can't do anything about, because he has the right to voice out what he feels!!

I do feel sorry at times, but as long as what he believes in, he feels happy about, I'm glad!!

Have an awesome time!!

Well, at least I'm not color-blind and know how to dress!

We're not really taking about dressing propery--they just give the models clothes to wear--but we're talking about whether they can be models.
