i would only be an audist if i believed they were smarter or better than someone else because their speech is clearer. That isn't the case at all. They are not better.

You guys really did not have to answer. My point of making that post was to point out that Audism is not what you feel that you're doing. It is what the Deaf community feels about what you are doing.

So one can't say "I am not an Audist." when the Deaf community feels that you are.

unfortunately fj only cares what jillio thinks, not us like if i say yes. she didnt care what we deafies think but jillio thinks is all she wants to know. I don't get it why we deafies continue to tell the truth and did not effect anything on her mind. jillio is the one who can effect fj because she wants to know.

She SAYS she is using ASL. But she has the child in an oral only educational environment...the most important place for her to be able to fully access information. Yeah, that makes sense.:roll:

She constantly refers to the need for a child to immersed in spoken language 24/7. Sure she's using ASL.
