California Earthquake

We had another quake centered in Los Angeles area. It was 4.7 ( they can't make their minds up) and felt pretty strong there. I felt in my area, my dad felt it strongest since he's in the suburbs of L.A.

Bet it was sharky that made the earthquake!!! and prolly was humping donkey boy soo hard. :roll: :shock: :lol: Kidding!!


Glad to hear all is well with u Ocean and that ur safe too along with ur family tooo. It mustve been real scary and i havent experienced an earthquake for years since i left my former hometown to work where i am now as this city doesnt sit on the fault line whereas my former hometown did and i used to feeel them alot.
 
it's 4.7. My good ole' civil engineer in California just informed me. here's a link.
 
i was up in Seattle when they had that small earthquake a few months back. It woke me up.

yep, I was sleeping at my cousin's place on the top bunkbed and the bed shake, so I yelled at my cousin, "Stop jacking off down there!" and he thought I was doing something... Well, a few hours later, we found out it was the earthquake. :roll:

I was playing my online game when my friend said over our headset client, "Earthquake!" which is kinda a joke in our guild. We have a lot of Californians and our guild leader jumps if anyone says "Earthquake!". My friend felt it first, said that, and our guild leader says "Shut up man, stop joki...OH SHIT EARTHQUAKE!!!" LOL

Nobody was hurt either but it came at an inopportune time, we were downing a mini-boss in the game and all my friend could think about is, "Gotta get this guy, then I'll take cover" I told him he was addicted if he'd rather down a mini-boss than take cover, smiles. LOL!!

And check out that map of the USA, Cali just littered with earthquakes, wow!

Re Pink: I live in Indiana and remember that earthquake, I was mad bc it woke me up a few hours before I had to go to work! Grr!
 
oh, another, I didn't know about most recent one....my beloved aunt used to live in Bay area and in 1989 as well as during Northridge quake she happened to be out of state both time; one of those times she was getting married.... folks in Cal say quakes happen all the time.....aunt in Salinas now for economic reasons. Love a lotta things about Cal, especially Northern Cal but the quakes have always stopped us from seriously considering it.
 
I've been thru tornadoes and hurricanes, but never earthquakes....ever since I saw a movie about earthquakes a long time ago, it scares me to death.....

Makes me wonder about Mt. Redoubt, if it ever erupted, full blown?

Feel sure Calif. is up for some huge waves....and the scariest disaster on my list are tsunami's.

Another quake happened in Hawthorne, CA it was 4.1 just update that happened this afternoon a little bit before 4pm. I was in the car didn't feel anything.
 
I've felt quakes twice. Once in Reno, Nevada I think it happened in 1990 or early 1991 (just mild one). And other one was in March 2000 in Los Angeles area (more stronger).
 
Moonflower , maybe it was another aftershock don't know.
 
that is not good. earthquake is very dangerous; I am scared really shocked.... that is not good really afraid. I think so tsunmai is earthquake reallly quickly easy earthquake.
 
I felt NOTHING. My husband and oldest daughter told me they felt trembling...I'm like, what? where? when?

The youngest was too busy taking a bath and drowning rubber ducks to care.
 
Yes, it happened so quickly. Still, enough to shake up nerves.
