I agree with LD.

As for thinking somebody is too old to get a CI, one has to be careful with that thought all around. If not a CI, what about a HA or any other beneficial device simply because the person is "too old". In other words, don't start drawing the line or you be advocating "Hey you old person...time to die!" ;)

I met many CI users at spa. Most says that CI cost Public Healthy Insurance between 30,000 and 70,000 EUR ($39,500 and $92,000) including surgery, therapies, spa, etc.

Wow they get spa sessions as part of their CI surgeries? :bowdown: The rest of us are living in the wrong countries.
 
Now I wish my Prussian ancestors (on mother's side) hadn't left Prussia 300 years ago. :P So Germans CI candidates get spas along with implants? I think I'm in the wrong country. :P

Man, I could have used a spa treatment after my second CI surgery! My entire body felt as if it had been run over by a truck...
