Bush to Promote Marriage in $1.5 Billion Plan, Report Says

$1.5 billions could help new employees of need. Have you went for shrink? It's expensive by hours. You get idea....

A lot of workplace give BENEFITS and they will pay the fees.

I think it is nothing new. France has been having a decline in its birth rate and their population is shrinking. So they tried to encourage couples to have kids by giving them money and so on, but did it change anything_ Nope, their birthrate is still declining. I think some people might just marry in order to get money then probably more likely to have higher divorce rate than these people who really marry for love and for the heck of it.

because everyone this alldeaf.com are against Bush, silly sally. Who else need to show support our President of US?!

First of all I am getting tired of your insult.....Second of all, NOT everyone will always agree with what President Bush does....

Like I said Everyone has the right to speak their opinion whether you like it or not....

There's some of what I have posted that they don't agree on but that doesn't mean I can bring up my views also ....or insult someone because they don't agree with me... that's not how it works here in ALLDeaf Illustrator!

For Example: The President knows that there are people out in this country that won't agree with some of the decisions he makes but, we as a country voted for him and we have the right to speak our opinion on the decisions he makes.....

And

btw My name is NOT Sally!

Well Said Twinie!!...Beside,,,,its ok if someone support Bush.. dont need to jump on the rest of the people in here that does Not support Bush.. Bush doesn't know what he is doing or what we want for our country!!!!

Very interestin' debates ! Ummm...well, I am glad that I don't vote for the Presidents who are supportin' the "Brave New World" or "New World Order". I am sorry to say this... *chuckles*... because, the presidents kept changin' their laws to make our "bill of rights", "constitution"...etc., etc. more difficulty in this now days. To what I am seein' is that this America is turnin' overboard and pretty soon, you will see this America turn into an "Amerika"...or shall I say "Non-existed America" ? (I never voted for the presidents for over 20 years.. blah)

The author, Ellis Henican made a very good point. It is excellent anology. Pres Bush made no sense to spend billion dollars to save the marriage. No one can stop us from divorce. If you are not happy with your husband or wife. Why should we struggle to save our marriage? It is not such a good health for our mental and physical.

I have known two couples marriage who are christians. They divorced because their live style are not the same and no love. Why should Pres Bush force them to stay in their marriage if they do not love each other?

Britney Spears and Jason Alexandra should NOT divorce if they made a biggest mistake to getting married. Britney was fruitcake and pathetic to marry to her old friend, Jason. Should we stop them from divorce?

Don't forget about $11 billion on NASA to moon & mars. That's lot of money!
But all that money is supposed to last until the mars flights in *2030*. It is extremely unlikely that all the money will actually be given to NASA given this long time span. It actually comes out to much less than a billion a year, and in the meanwhile, bush has requested that space flights be canceled. In other words, we stay out of space until we get a new shuttle, with no guarantee that NASA will get either the money or the new shuttle.

FYI.. the 'no child left behind' act requires a large amount of accountability on the schools part (read: costs lots of money) with NO money to pay for it. In other words, its handing the states a problem when most of them are bankrupt in the first place.

As far as I can tell, the 1.5 billion for the marriage stuff is for this current year. So it gets more than NASA. or that educational bill. It has been said that Bush attention equals the kiss of death for any program. We'll see if thats also true for the marriage thing.

US Congress spent the fund

Education Department for $76 billions (+5% change from last year)

Highway Spending for $33.8 billions (+22%)

Veterans health care for $28.6 billions (+11%)

NASA for $15.5 billions (+0.5%)

Agriculture Dept's Food safety, animal and plant for $1.5 billions (+4%)

Environment Protection AGency for $18.4 billions (+8%)

Fighting AIDS in Africa and Caribbean for $2.4 billions (+47%)

Amtrak for $1.2 billions (+20%)

This been spend for 2003, thank to Bush!

Misleading. How much was funding BEFORE Bush was in office? And how much money do they have to work with in the first place?
(I.E. is the government getting more or less in taxes?? What PERCENTAGE of the GNP or national funds are these?)
What did Bush 'recommend' for the budget? Since CONGRESS passes the budget, they get credit unless the funds are actually the same or similar to Bush's recommendations.
And please divide it into Departmental funding if possible. "Fighting AIDS' could be anything from providing overall health funding, to social programs for abstinence. Is the Agriculture Dept. funding you cited for the overall Department, or for specific programs you are mentioning?
