Bully woman

Sorry about that.

There will always be losers in the world that do things like that.

There was one guy who was arrested for trying to pass off a flat screen television with a cheap barcode at Wal-Mart. Heh!

Seriously, I think these people are just assholes who have nothing better to do than give other people hell.

Wow, that's terrible. That's probably why there's only barcodes and no price tags on things in stores like groceries.

Sometimes when my work was so busy, I sometimes make mistake with prices when there are so many people, so customers sometimes had to remind me like candy are 85 cents not 75 cents so I had to change, and I said sorry and changed the price and add up. I haven't had any customers with attitude since I started working....

I don't know about in America, but in England, shops are NOT legally bound by any marked price.

Marked prices are in law an "invitation to treat". meaning "make me an offer and I'll decide whether to accept or not".

Price tags mean nothing at all legally, so customers have no legal right to ask a shop to adhere to a mistaken price tag.

At work today, a woman customer came to my line with an item that had no price on it. I work at a store where customers are just crazy and try to get used things cheaper by removing prices. Well, I gave her a price for it, which was 2 dollars. Then she asked why it said $1.97 on the item (old sticker from store). I said that it isn't our price. We price things our own way for charity purposes. Anyway, well, I asked her if she wanted me to ask someone else for a price. So I did. Still 2 dollars. Then, the lady saw the marked price and said that she saw me remove a .50 cents sticker off. Then, I went with a shocked face that I did not. I said there's a camera, then she went on saying that I took off the sticker and told me that she can tell that I am lying by looking at my eyes. Don't ya wanna laught at this one? I left, and I found the supervisor. The lady of course said I lied, and I asked her, "why would I do that?" She said, "I don't know! Why did you?!! like really stern and louder tone. You could tell she was a b*#^! and a bully since probably childhood. She then said that she didn't need it. Well, we took it off her, and she asked for both of our names.

I have never had that happen to me. I am sick of customers. This store's just bad, and I am really looking for a new job to get out!

Wow, that's just plain suck. Maybe next time, you can say "You're right, I did take it off. Because I saw you put it on there. That's fraud, and we prosecute." :Owned:

I'm so sorry you had to put up with that, but next time - just smack a ho.
tehe =)

When power went failed then work at grocery store and hypermarket are fucking nightmare, we had pulled many food out and toss on cart then wrapped with plastic then sent to truck, even ice cream, meat, cheese are require to remove then put in cooler, that where emergency power are running in cooler and put in truck with cooler machine, also we had to re-stocking and got some employees from other wal-mart store to help us, that happen in last week.

Sour cream, yogurt, cheese cottage, onion dip, OJ and eggs are removed from shelves then toss in cart because all of them are spolied and left in truck for distribution center to claim it.

Dixie rules of retail:
1. The customer may be right, but they are right only if they are not wrong.
2. There are people out there willing to get cheap prices at someone else's cost.
3. When in doubt - refer to your store manager.

No, no, darkdog . . . you never want to accuse the customer of something like that. Businesses aren't in business because they want to catch shoplifters or alleged shoplifters and then call them names (which is slander, libel and defamation). I don't know of one single company that's in business because they want to be sued for comments like that.

Looks like I've just been :Owned:. Let this be a warning to all: never listen to anything I say.

Some products have barcodes made by the store. It's possible to carefully peel off that sticker and put it on another product.

Ouch!! Retailing job must be tough. Hope you can find better position than dealing w/ crappy customers.

Hiya....just wanted to point out that even if you sell stuff online (like eBay), you still run into nasty or just plain crazy customers. But luckily, there are far more nice customers -- from my experience, I'd say there's one bad customer for every 20-30 nice customrs or so. If you're in retail business, you just need to accept that there *will* be a bad customer once in a while, and don't let it get to you -- it's just nature of the business.
