DFI was great back then, yes, but laterly their motherboard got more and more complex and became pickier and pickier with various hardwares -- I've heard of one DFI motherboard refusing to work with a certain brand of usb keyboard -- plus not to mention that their customer support group weren't that great to begin with. Eventually, I think they stopped at x55 chipset and sacked their entire enthusiast motherboard section. They're doing OEM motherboards now.

Yeah, let him talk... until he runs into that one game that doesn't work with SLI and runs off only 1 core. Then you can show him your 5870 getting more than double of his fps. :)

WHY?! Bench it! Buy some cheap-o core2duo processor and overclock the snot out of it! E3300 can get damn near 150% overclock!

Or sell it. s775 is losing value very quickly.

Hey XBGMER, I can't get GTA IV to run and got error message say "SecuROM Launcher has stopped working", I had reinstalled this game but same result.

I'm consider about format the HDD and re-install new OS.

I tested with Mafia 2 and enabled PhysX APEX at medium so I notice clothes start waving as smooth, FPS has up from 10-15 to just 30-35 with GeForce 8800 GT as dedicated physX card.

Fuck to SecuROM. :mad2:
 
wait. amd fusion ultitiy is designed to get games better by disable the window themes and uitlties,etc..and i thought it's designed for only desktop? because i put it on my pc.

AMD fusion (the hardware, not the software) is AMD's attempt at combining CPU and GPU onto one chip, resulting in lower power draw and heat, but offering similar performance to discrete chips. Best used on laptops.

Plan to rebuild old pc for my son, I will need buy some parts like new pc case then give to my son.


I have E6500 can do 4.0-4.4hgz but too hot and might need buy new aftermarket fan to cool it down.

Hey XBGMER, after re-formatted and installed Windows 7 Professional (got free via MSDNAA) so installed GTA IV and notice that game isn't run then I decided to use xlive.dll to disable all GFWL so this game run so fine.

I got 50 fps on GTA IV benchmark test, upped from 20 fps with single graphic card only.

I believe that your video card - GeForce 250 GTS beats GeForce 9800 GTX by miles.

If graphic card does not have PhysX support or not have PhysX card so only to draw the PhysX from CPU that could cause CPU usage goes up like crazy with many heats.

I noticed some people use CPU only for PhysX and use graphic card for graphic rendering.

What OS are you running on? And please throw that norton security out of the window, that is the shittest security software ever. My laptop has none, and is still running fine.

I agreed.

I used Norton Security 2003 and it SUCKED IN BIG TIME, it did screw my computer up.

Just use MS Security Essentials, but I usually disable it when running the games with trainers or mods.

mainly these security software are just a piece of crap and what's in need for these? What is norton's aim? To protect our computers? yeah right!
