i wish AOL never bought the Netscape...

For Mac OS in Classic... new Netscape handle pretty better than IE.

Yes, you can get Opera for free..but you would have ads.

If you pay, those ads would disappear.

I always felt that Netscape is too heavy and it loads very slowly.
That's because Windows pre-loads IE at boot time, so the bloat is hidden from you, at least until you find yourself running low on swap space/virtual memory when you want to run something else. Mozilla now provides you with the option of preloading if you want it, in which case it will start up just as fast as IE.

I can't stand popups either...so I take advantage of Mozilla's option under Edit>Preferences>Privacy & Security>Pop-up Windows to turn the !@#%!@#$! things off.

Interesting....just had to download Opera and see for myself...will give this a run for a while and see how I like it. :) Been running IE 6 forever. Have tried Netscape, just can't get around it...it just shits me to tears.

Tried Mozilla..it ain't too bad...almost like a combination of Netscape and IE.

Will get back to you about my opinion on Opera. :)

Now I'm back...been using Opera for 1 day...interesting and I like it so far! I like it when Opera keeps all the windows within ONE window. That's much neater than IE! :)

ha ha...just wait until you find out that you're infected because you clicked one of my URLs which IE is vulurable to. :p

I prefer MSIE 6.0 over anything, but MoZilla is my second choice. I have just tried out Opera, I have to say I still am not impressed so I'll stick with MSIE and MoZilla for now. :)

indeed, opera are simliar to Netscape, all windows on it own, it make easy to quit for itself appllication.

:ugh: Opera?! Err.. for a computer-illerate gal that's into culture.. I thought Opera was for high-pitched screaming that could be passed for beautiful singing. :laugh2:

I use IE and Opera on my mac, and I use IE on the PC. The main problem with IE is that it crashes and it has those annoying popups. Opera has a built in blocking popups ultilty. IE on the mac looks pretty good and fancy but it just sucks.
