As little as I eat, I find I take in a substantial amount of select candy and other bad sugary crap. Now I've been eating a little more fruits and veggies since my supervisor and coworker found out my daily intake of food, they had extra from their gardens, so they bring some in and I share it with the family (Except the blueberries, those were all mine..lol) Zuccini, squash and cucumbers basically. They found out because they asked me if I had ever had squash and until recently I hadn't.

How do I break my addiction to these bad foods like candy (Junior mints, recees, milk duds.. et cetera) these foods are far cheaper than fruit and on our food budget, that's what heavily influences the final decision on desert, because let's face it, no desert sucks after a tiny dinner.

For the price of the candy, buy bags of rice and lentils, and you will have enough protein and be full.

Also for food, buy frozen orange juice, gallons of milk, bags of dried beans, large flats of eggs. Bread can be cheaply obtained at bakery outlets.

All these things cost far less than candy, and will keep you from being hungry or malnourished.

No idea what a lentil is, going to google that right now. I'm not a big fan of rice to be honest, it's just so.. bland. Junior mints are $1 a box, rice and lentils (whatever they are) are likely way more expensive than that.

Not even close.

For some reason, orange juice always leave my toungue itchy, I'm lactose intolerant (I still eat cheese when I can afford the cabot habanero stuff) but I do love beans. Are the tinned beans any good? I know they are expensive, but easy to make and I can cover them in tabasco for flavour. I have been getting bread from the $1 table at the store lately. I don't think we have a bakery outlet, unless you mean the one inside the grocery store.

I never feel hunger pains, I don't understand why, but I'm probably malnourished, no idea how to tell though. I always seem to crave the aforementioned sweets for some reason, at least once a day that is. It's like an addiction really.

The whole rice deal isn't working, I hope somone has some advice, I really badly want to stop eating sugary sweet stuff. This stuff is like heroin, so bloody addictive and I can't stop.

I know exactly what you mean sugar being like drugs! It is VERY addicting and most of the U.S. is hooked on it and sick. I've been trying to beat a growing sugar addiction for 6-8 years or so and I finally found something that is working for me...

I am affiliated with a company that produces essential oils (very powerful healing nutrients from plants, work better than drugs with no side effects! I love them!) They developed a product called Ningxia Red. It's made with wolfberries/goji berries from the Ningxia province in China. Higher in antioxidants than just about anything out there and they added other fruit juices and essential oils to it as well to make a really amazing, effective drink!

I didn't try it right at first, but when I finally did start drinking it every day, I noticed that I didn't get sick last Christmas when everyone else did and I normally would have. I stopped drinking it every day for a little while, (started to get sick again) and then I decided to try to quit the sugar...again. I had heard a lot of stories about people using Ningxia Red to help with cravings and to balance blood sugar.

I started using Ningxia again and not eating the sugar. It made it SO much easier because I was less likely to crave the sugar and if I did, I could drink a little Ningxia Red and be fine! :) I'm still working on fixing my health, but I'm getting better every day. :) Maybe it would work for you too?
