Hello,

My name is Cindy and I have a deaf sister in law named paula in Amarillo Texas. That is how I became aquainted with deaf people and the culture, through family. I have met a deaf tour operator named Dorothy Garner in Alabama. She usually plans tours for the deaf and hard of hearing over seas but she is also planning a group trip with a deaf group this September, I think they are red hatters. She is the owner of Sign N Tours. Dorothy came to Branson to check it out, and thought it was pretty fun. The hotel where I work in Branson has become Deaf & Hard of hearing Friendly. Our employees took classs on the deaf culture and basic sign language. My daughter works here too and she is better at signing than me. I can spell pretty good. I just wanted everyone to know that the missouri governer made April National Deaf Month in Missouri. I thoguht that was pretty awesome.
