Branching out

Hello. I'm just looking to possibly make some friends or talk to some people that understand what it's like to be deaf. A lot of my difficulties in life have stemmed from trying to normalize myself and fit into the hearing world. Therefore, I'm trying to branch out and meet people who may empathize with that.
