Why didn't you just tell parents you don't want to wear HAs? They should have respected your choice then you wouldn't be destroying $2500 HAs!

Makes me wonder why you even are thinking of CI when you hated HAs so much even to this day. I know CI is your choice but I wouldn't be surprised if you decide to stop wearing CI a month later.

That's a little unfair, isn't it? She did say she was a toddler when she did that. People do mature and make smarter decisions (usually!) as they get older.

Come on Deafdude1 you have no idea, she was a little child she had no idea, also CI is entirely different to HA!
I hated them too, I let my dog "find and eat them" most of my childhood, Hid my box, "forgot to recharge batteries", I had countless of excuses while i was child....As an adult it were no difference. I didn't wear them much at home if i am alone (other wise i get told off) I am sure A LOT of people were same!! With CI I wore them all my waking hours, changes batteries immediately, looked after it better than i did with HA!

Hearing aids blast me with sound, over stimulate me, give me headaches, and give me a lot of sound I don't understand. If you had the same experience you would throw them out a window too...hmm...you also blast people, over stimulate them with talk of stemcells, and give people headaches (or well at least me), and say a bunch of made up stuff that we can't understand where you got it from...
