It started heavy snow around 2pm... and it's still snowing.... Like I said earlier that we are bracing for snowstorm ... That's enough snow...
One thing is that I hate to shovel the snow out of my driveway..
My friend just emailed and told me that he and his family were without heat and power for one week due to the ice storm last week. (They live in the west of Massachusetts..) They finally got power back yesterday... That's a relief to know that they are OK and that they got power back yesterday.
Let's pray haha...

We had our winter storm here in our area. It started with heavy snow this morning around 9 am or little after, but it got bad with heavy sleet all day since 2 pm. My son and I shoveled the driveway for an hour. Snow with sleet. Not good. Our driveway is very icy right now. I am not looking forward to see how the am if gonna be because I have to work early in the am. We are getting another winter storm warning tmw, Sun and Mon. Yuck!!! And again on Christmas Eve.
My son never saw a blizzard in his life yet and he is 12 years old. So the blizzard of '96 happened when he was 12 wks growing in my belly
(I heard that Matt Cassel is back and play this Sunday... or he already did return there last Sunday after his father's death. I lost to keep tracks because I don't watch TV that much because of my odd jobs but I check Sports once in a while on the internet before I leave for work. I am sorry to hear Matt's father's loss and that I hope Matt is OK.)

Yes, I can't imagine that my friend said he and his family were without heat and power for a week but he said that they have a fireplace and gas stove to keep them warm, which helps.
Oh, no... I am sorry that you have to go through with this kind of weather. Snow with sleet. Yes, it is not good because the snow with sleet is more heaver than snow and also, it can hurt your back. I was thinking of hiring a teenager boy to shovel for me. He did for my neighbors around my block.

Your son never saw a blizzard in his life. Not even snow (or not much snow) in your area? I remember the blizzard of '78 was the worse here because the snow was all over my car and I was not able to find my car.
Yep, I think it was around '78 that I saw a first blizzard in my life, it was around Christmas & New Year if I rem correctly. I only saw at least 4 blizzards in my life. My 21 year old daughter saw twice in her life and that was March '94, I think and again Jan '96. That Blizzard of '96 was bad where we were at since we lived in a mountian, 36 in of snow with high drifts. oh yeah, our cars, even a camper were buried in snow, haha. Our doors were blocked by high drifts. We had to rent a bulldozer to help out plowing the trailer park where we used to live. I still do have pictures and newspaper. I pray I never see one again in time and age, but for my son it would be nice, then never again!!!
