Vodafone

how many carriers that has owned majors?

Vodafone owns Verizon Wireless. Verizon Wireless owns Alltel. Most of the carriers own at least one mobile network operator.

Deutsche Telekom (T-Mobile International) owns at least 15 mobile network operators including T-Mobile USA. In fact, T-Mobile International is world's sixth largest mobile phone service provider and their coverage in European & Caribbean countries is superior. Unfortunately for T-Mobile USA coverage is relatively new since VoiceStream was acquired by Deutsche Telekom in 2002. Eventually it renames to T-Mobile USA.

And the world's Top telecommunication must be Telstra, no?

shona67, thanks for answering NorCal's question.

I suspect T-Mobile USA is laying low waiting for the right time to buy out a possibly bigger provider like AT&T Mobility (Cingular) or Sprint. T-Mobile USA's parent company, Deutsche Telekom can afford since they have loads of money.
And the world's Top telecommunication must be Telstra, no?
Jacob, I believe NTT out of Japan is the biggest telecom provider in the world. Deutsche Telekom comes in fourth. Telstra is nowhere in the top ten.

No doubt, data plan for Verizon on BB Storm will be $50 per month like existing BB data plan.
