Hi, I just got my blackberry more then a week ago and I love it. Also I had a voice plan activiated last saturday. Every time someone tried to call me but it doesnt let me know if the phone is ringing or not. How to I get it to vibrate to let me know that someone call me. It is important for me to have it on for my son's sake.

I have blackberry 7250. :D Thanks!!

Yea ... that's what my friend had same problem. It didn't vibrate strong enough and even the sound didn't make loud enough for her so she took it back. I remember she said it was Blackberry but not sure about the number.

Yikes take it back!!! :eek3: I hope not. I will go to sprint dealer tmw and hopefully straighten it out if not then I will be stuck to take it back since I need that phone to vibrate for my son's sake.

If you set your Profile to "Quiet" - then that is what it is doing, silenting your ringing. Go to Profile, highlight "quiet" and with the wheel, click on it and select Edit. Scroll down to Phone, click the wheel again and select Edit. Change In-Holster and Out Of Holster from None to Vibrate (you can highlight it and press space bar to change or Click the Wheel and Select Options). Click on the wheel again to save when you're done. Hope that Helps.

Went to the dealer and she set it up and I now have vibrate on my phone when someone call me. I am now happy.

I am sorry that your friend had to return the bb but I wish your friend have gone to the dealer to have it set up as I did.

Rick66, I got it now and the dealer showed it to me and now I know how. :D

Looks like you solved your problem before I came home from the office. Otherwise, I would have told you that you can do both vibration and ringtones for just about anything you want on your BB -- just go to sound profiles on your menu and (since you've already selected quiet) just edit the profile to exactly how you want things to sound. I've got it on vibrate for some things, tone on others, both on vital important calls, etc.

You can also set up the flashing LED in profiles under "repeat notification". It's a visual way to know you have messages.

Hopefully there are parallelisms that might help out with older models. Thanks for letting me know.

Oh wow ... thanks for letting me know. I emailed her this thread link recently.

Got an email from her. She was at work, not much time to talk plus so many crazy things at home due to Christmas incoming. She said it was 7290 and I see that you have 7250. I don't know much about any sidekick or whatever. Never own any and am out of state. Anyway she did read this thread. Thank you.

You're welcome!!
