Actually, my wife and I had sex on the first date, and, um, the morning after the first date, and, um... well, you get the idea...
I think there's a lot to be said for each individual's preferences. If you want religion and/or morals to be involved, okay, if you don't, that should be okay too. Any other position seems to be pushing people out of their own beliefs and toward someone else's, which aren't necessarily any more appropriate or correct.
