I've seen everything else, this is the first time I got a fake facebook one.
So, just heads up for those of you who get an email like this. Make sure you login facebook's website link instead of clicking a link in this phishing email on your own.

That and I get emails supposedly from Facebook with comments on my photos and stuff. Because FB does send them, it's an easy way for a scammer to try and get you to click on a fake email. I never, ever, ever use a link from an email even if I'm reasonably sure it's sent from FB or not. I go to my account instead just to be safe!

Thanks for the heads up, Naisho!

All we can do is keep ourselves at bay and be aware of phishing, scams, so and on.

They make this look so real... People should be very careful with those kind of emails!

I'm irritated. I had two friends' FB accounts had been hacked, and sent fake videos to everyone. They had to hire computer guys and had to change the passwords.

yeah I got emails from facebook about that but i never click on the link tho. :) but I keep changing pws in case of anything happens to me :P

That one I got this morning.. thought it was bullshit... no way FB would send something like that so I deleted the email...

Wirelessly posted

Naisho, thanks for letting me know to be aware of this.

I had my old email account hacked cause I had it on my Facebook. I made a new email and didn't add any of my friends to it, so if this happens again people won't be getting spam emails about Viagra.

Just got the fake Deaf Lottery thing from someone named Elizabeth Flores. Reported her and deleted her.

Thanks for the heads up, Naisho!

Ideally log OUT of facebook then, no problem.:hmm: Never saw the point in FB myself. Until google starts monitoring its search options to prevent everyone seeing what you do on FB it's not safe at all. employers can fire you dependent on what google throws up about you on FB, and friends and others do not respect your privacy anyway, it is a bullies and hackers paradise. You need just ONE so-called 'friend' to abuse your privacy (easily done as most have no idea who many are !), then your privacy has gone. Use only heavily moderated and protected sites, never say anything on FB or Twitter you don't want the entire planet to know about. 'Protect your tweets' NOT Possible !

yeah facebook is tricky alright. I keep getting emails from "facebook" at my hotmail email.... but I don't use that hotmail address for facebook. I always thought that was funny. And those emails go straight to my spam folder anyway so easy delete!

Ya'll, my FB account has been hacked. I reported it to FB. After trying to restore the account, I instructed them to deactivate my account. As of now, my FB account is still appears on the site. If ya'll receive any weird PMs from me, I'm sorry. I hope that FB deactivates the whole account asap. I've deactivated the email account that was associated with my account. That's all that I can do for now.

not only facebook, the scammer make email look fake almost everything, even America of Bank, Chase, GoDaddy, etc...

I think so trick and take advantage of people because stolen your hotmail password because cause you are careful you can contact to support, You can complain to tell to Support facebook. Possible before I deactived because impossilbe won't change, I puzzle it it is doesn't because reason how fix problem. I wonder difficult.
