Guess what!!!

One of the social worker from the Cancer Center has been collecting something from volunteers at Cancer Center to give us for X-Mas gift that we ever had in our lifetime! And she came to our apartment last Saturday Dec. 20th around 6:30 PM PST and gave us a X-Mas card and we opened and we were so shocked  to see that $200.00 in that envelope for us to spend for X-Mas shopping and food. That was very nice of those volunteers and the social worker to donate that $$$ to us for "X-MAS" gift! :thumb:

WhiteWolves, I hope you and your wife have a nice Christmas. It was a really nice thing that the volunteers and social worker did for you!:)

That's great Whitewolves,I'm very happy for you :)

Wow, that is really nice and thoughtful of them doing that for you and your wife. I hope you will have a great holidays.

Last friday, a church gave my daughter a wonderful Christmas gift. The church had sent kerosane company to fill up my daughter's tank, all 250 worth of kerosane full in their tank. Wow, and they also gave them $500 worth of gift cards at Target, Walmart, etc. and boxes of food. My daughter wanted to thanked the church for their gift, the church said not to thank them, she should thank our Heavenly father above. I told her always give thanks to our Lord especially around Christmas time. I cried when she told me the news since she has three children and money was always tight. We try our best to help them, but kerosane is very, very expensive...

We should thank God for everything and to live this day, everyday for giving us gifts that we did not ask or ask for. Merry Christmas everyone and you too!!!

Yoo-hoo WW64, it's been a while.

That's nice of them to give you and your wife for a nice XMas gift.

WW64, that was very nice of your social worker from the Cancer clinic, to give you and your wife some money. You can spend something what you two really need so badly. Enjoy!

Last spring, my parents donated the Cancer hospital money in my name. I got a letter from the President from the hospital and asked me to come and give them a short presentation to talk about cancer, etc.. but I declined.

That is very nice of your social worker from the cancer clinic to give you both a wonderful Christmas gift. :)

Indeed nice way to do so for ya, WW...that would be the best thing for sure..... yep....

Restless, your daughter is lucky to have some folks care about her and her kids.... that will help for sure....

It warms my heart to see random acts of kindness like those.

Kudos to beautiful people!

This year my friend made a donation to Heifer International. In my name, she purchased a goat for a needy family in a 3rd world country. The goat will provide milk, breeding stock, and eventually meat to a family. What a great idea!

If you're interested, check out Charitable Gift Giving that Makes a Difference | Heifer International. In this materialistic world, this really touched me as a selfless act.

Happy Holidays to everyone on AD!
