Best DVD rip software

I own a lot of DVD and I used Xilisoft to ripped some DVD movies to play on my iPhone.

Overall, I dislike Xilisoft so I'm looking for best DVD rip software.

OP, this is a good question as I too am in a similar situation. I have a few DVDs and I just want them on the computer and the ipod rather than having those DVDs taking up space.

I use DVD Catalyst because the programmer is aware about subtitles and closed captioning difference.

His DVD can actually rip closed captioning or subtitle and it become an open captioning on the ripped video itself.

No need to find players that support right subtitle or .srt or closed caption line21 etc. since the caption is already there on the video and will play in any video player.
