Being hearing, I noticed that a few deafies from different parts of the country use the word "expect" instead of the word "except". Is it because these 2 words look simular? Only difference is the c and p are switched around. I am just curious.

except like especially? ex. except one thing

expect--something you are lookin foward to..

I already know the differences between those words. It's not common that I see several users here using some words that are spelt very similar to what the words they were trying to use.

Yeah.. ive seen people using those words although they meant the other word like except..i noticed seeing a lot of people spelling daughter daugther.. i dont know why hmm

something like daughter and daugther may be because they type to fast. Alot of times I will type teh for the or sex for sec. You know. Also, I can't remember the word, but I have seen a few people misspell it, and they misspell it the same way. Oh well. We all have our misspellings. I always misspell restaurant...i sometimes spell it restraunt.

Ditto.. I type too fast and words ended up switched.. ha

Wow, you got good eyes! I didn't realize about that. Thank goodness, that I don't make that mistake with Except and Expect. :D I know the difference and I always proofread before sending. :thumb:

Thanks for bringing this up to my attention too. :fruit:
