how hard is it for deaf person to learn to drive
how hard is it for deaf person to learn to drive
So deafness doesn't affect one's ability to drive.
except when someone is honking the horn at you :P
Actually, It is really simple for us deaf people learn how to drive because we become more dependent on our eyes. It's like when you lose one of the sense, the other sense gains in order to work much better.

We go through the same procession just as other hearing people do by taking driver's education or other paths in order to obtain a driver's license.
Just to be aware, If you were asked to say "Can deaf people drive?" - That would be taken in a different light only considered to be offensive because we do can drive. We don't let our deafness stop us from doing the daily routine just as much as others do too.

Good post. Why don't hearing GET IT that driving requires eye-coordination, not eye-ear-coordination???
FYI, a person with severe usher syndrome is not allowed to drive. what does this mean? it means that any time a person with limited EYES is not feasible to drive at all.
I live in California-- we don't honk. We flip our fingers.
Buck...you can't even handle being deaf let alone being visually impaired.
Worry about where you are right now, not about some fantasy world that could have been. Just accept your situation and make something of it...life is not fair...okay!?!
