If you are coughing up blood, better go to the ER. That is something more serious!

Are you coughing up congestion with blood? What about your nose, is it raw? Fruits have vitamin C in it. Maybe you can have someone run to the store and get you the vitamin C tablets.

 Coughing up blood? sounds like you may have bronchitis or pneumonia, if I were you, I would definitely see a doctor.

I hope you feel better soon.

If you cough up little bit blood you should go hospital and fever above 103 is dangerous it could leave brain damage if it stay that high for too long.
Check your toes, fingers and lips if it have any little tinge of blue go hospital cuz its sign of pneumonia

But if you don't want to then take tylenol to see if it reduce fever and watch for other symptoms for next 48 hours and if doesn't get better go hospital no excuses

i agree!

I can understand the ER expenses but if you have to go, you have to go. About paying for the bill, you can pay a little at a time. Hospitals have to take what they can, even if it's small amounts. I agree, your fever is dangerously high.

Fever above 102 is extremely serious and needs to be seen, get youself to the ER!!! also you are coughing up some blood.... tells that there is something not right with you. Get to ER to be on the safe side.

I had temp of 103.8 few years ago and ended up in hosp, I had early onset bacterial menigitis, I was pumped with anti bios for 5 days.

oh you don't know.. I've JUST, two months or so ago cleared up 4 years/thousands dollars of insurance mess .. it was a fabulous feeling. :(

well, I looked - I'm still all pinky.. pale maybe but at least still pinky ha.

tylenol doesn't do a thing for me .. even morphines when I was in an accident.

I'll give it a day more though .. thanks everybody.

Ok If the money is the issue. Get some fever reducer down into you (paracetmol I suppose that's Tylenol) every 4 hours or what ever it says on the packet, if the fever isn't reduced to below 102 by tomorrow morning.... I am afraid hospital is the best place..... It's very worrying.

Drink plenty of room temp fluids, Water, Juice, etc, no TEA or COFFEE or COKES as they contains caffiene which acts like duretics and they go straight through the body instead of being absorbed into the body to rehydrate.
Cool damp flannel on your nape of neck (back of the neck) will help to reduce the temp down...

Is there anyone apart from the cats, who can watch over you???

overpond, the same thing happened to me two years ago, went to ER - four doctors thought I had symptoms of mengititis, ended up didn't .. with spinal tap. just a uh.. bad influenza I guess. so I thought I could wait on...for few days. at least no one is around me or am I.

oh. good thing I don't drink tea, coffee or coke. flannel? interesting, okay.

sorry slow on posts today..

Do let us know if you broke through the fever... Take care... Hope the cats are watching you...

*hugs*

smiles .. thank you. they're my little furtherapists or, you could say furnurses. their purring motors and their little living heartbeats .. my baby girl, heartcat who usually paws my nose to wake me up for breakfast time, patiently laid her head on my neck the other morning all morning. how sweet is that? she knew I am very sick..

gosh last night was just errible that I had to keep all cats out of my bedroom. I was TOO hot and sticky... 104.3 the highest. :ugh: sorry kids.

gotta go and close my eyes ...

def need to go ER cuz little blood on cough which its very serious...

What's about cooler/cold bath? Make sure you drink a lot of water, and of course, take a rest a lot as much as you can. Eat good and healthy food in a proper way..

Still - I have to agree with ADers, here, I really think you do need to go to hospital... Because you said it's more than 104, obviously, that's extremely bad. I meant, that's really bad... i hope you do something about it immediately...

I absolutely agree with Byrdie on this one. If you are coughing up blood, and have had a high fever for more than 24 hours, you need to go to the ER. This is not an illness to treat with home remedies.
