I thought this was appropriate. Seems to be making the rounds lately... :D

Goes perfectly well in here.

Well, for starters, my outdoor cats have been eating birds, drinking dirty water, got tons of ticks on them. It was far too impossible for me to get rid of them, no matter where I see, they comes back on them.

And I'm more worried that vets would approached me with that bad news showing the result for me to see it for myself. That's how vets decided to put four cats to sleep without our permission. I never got my chance to said good-bye to them.

I just don't want history to repeat itself. And how can I be moron? It's vets' call, not me.

Vets can't do that if they go ahead to put them down. They are not authorize for allowing it to happen, and it's owner's responsible and make decision. I get a feeling that you were worried about how expensive the bills are? Nothing else?

No. I found the ticks on them long, long, long time ago. It has nothing to do with flooding situation.

okay - You found the ticks - seemingly before the flood. Then did nothing about it?

Then you saved them from the flood. (I will assume the cats actually saved their selves)

And you are now fretting about the ticks.

It just sounds like your 4 previous cats were in the same dire situation. They got infested and got diseased due to some stuff ticks gave them.

It just sounds .....

Which NOW I agree with the vet... Putting these 4 cats to sleep and not allowing you any part of it, because you would be like 'nooooooooooooooo'

and you want to put this cat to sleep?

Please for the love of cats (and I hate cats) give them to someone who will take good care of them, and NEVER have another cat again.

No. I never worried about how expensive the bills are on the table. Do you have any idea how feeling has been bottle up when I learned that vets made the decision to put my four cats to sleep? Just because of the bad blood inside of them, it can be treatable!

I was looking forward to bring them home, but vets made the god-awful decision to end their precious lives without us being presented there. Those kittens were so little and were about to feel this beautiful world. They told me that without mother, they could't survive. I don't believe their words at all.

I'm trying to prevent this from happening again. I don't want any vets to put my outdoor cats to sleep anymore. It's too unbearable for me. I'm more of cat person than human myself. I'm very protected of them. To make sure that they gets to live longer past the age of 20, maybe even 30. I have indoor cat who now almost 10 in 2010, he lives very well now.

Can't you understand that I'm trying to preventing the history from repeat itself? No matter what I said here, they're just going to PUT them to sleep without my knowledge!

understandable but do you have any idea how we felt as pet owners when you say you will put them to sleep over some common flea/tick problem?

you know that ticks are basically IV drips of poison, right? that's why you have to get rid of them as soon as possible.

But nooooo, these cats have had ticks for a lonnnnggggg time....

You don't know who I am. And I was in New Jersey long before I move here in North Carolina. I left my grandmother to take care of those cats. She feed them with human food no matter how I tell her not to, but never listens to my bold words.

And you can't be serious. You agree with vet? Do you have any idea how painful would this cause to my grandmother after picking up the phone? She cried a lot until the very end. If it wasn't for my great-grandmother who keeps throw them outside, they would be still here with me.

And did I said "WANT"?

Stop already! Bottom line is that you have learned from the past about these cats and now will take every precaution in the future to not let the same thing repeat itself. All you can do is take care of the ones you have now. If thats not possible find them a home where they will have the best of care.

Learn and move on

I'm not here for attention. I'm here to seek the help to save my precious cats. God give me that maine coot cat!
umm....
Maine Coon Cat.

They're not so special.

To be honest, I think the vet will put the cats down.
So, its your choice - let them suffer with the infestation without taking them to the vets.

The vet will do one of the following:
Find that the infestation is not as bad as we think it is, and help you (More correctly the cat) cure it.
Or
Find that the infestation has caused numerous diseases and such, and the poor animal is suffering in pain - and the most humane thing is to put it down.

Either way. You HAVE to go to the vet.

If the animal is FINE after the vet, I suggest you give it up for adoption.

You need to stop. Just go to vet for cats and/or to place them up for adoption. If you don't do it for a few days, you leave me no choice but I may have to report on you.

You don't deserve to have an another cat...

Good advice, unless he just wants attention
