BBB is a a Joke!

When we need a plumber we prefer to ask friends for referrals. The only time recently that we had to search online for an "unknown" was on a Saturday for an emergency leak. He did a good job but he totally overcharged for it.

For our tree cutters we went to their worksites and asked the homeowners how satisfied they were. Some recommended their crews, and one did not. (Obviously, we hired one of the recommended ones.)

WDYS, I know it's very hard to find good tradesmen if you don't know someone from referrals. :(

I did ask someone I knew for a referral and the plumber he told me about wanted $200 per hour plus and parts he had to use. I called the last plumber I used b/c he was good but he never called back . My check was good when I paid him the last time so I am not sure why he did not call back.




I plumber came back and fixed the leak ,at least I hope he did and I finally got to wash my dishes .







I was told by one guy that its' hard to hire repairmen during the summer
b/c they're busy doing bigger jobs that pay better $$$$.

It would be nice to be able to drop what you are doing and help someone you worked for before, but if you are working on something else and can't break away then that's what you have to do. Unfortunately, you can only be in one place at a time, however, the guy should of at least called you. Another possibility is he might have ATT cellular and won't get the message for several more month's. I one got a voicemail that was sent six months to the day after it was sent and all the lady from ATT told me was it was lost in "cyberspace." Some cellphone companies are basically giving you a can and a string.

I forget that guy did call me back at 9 :00 AM. I am glad I waited for him b/c he got earlier than noon time , or maybe 10 :30 is noon time to him. I wish the first guy had notice it was leaking before he left . I am not sure if I will want to use this plumber again. They said they're a 24 plumber on line and I called them around 10 :00 PM last night and called be back at 9:00 AM . :roll:
 
Yeh, they are a 24 hour plumber, but it's spread over three days,not all in one day.
