story here could be a hoax - but I've seen Bald and Golden Eagles up close and they are are both very, very big birds and I think it's possible for either to at least pick up a fawn. Though the the Golden Eagles are <I thought> typically more aggressive and more likely to generally hunt prey, while the Bald Eagles both hunt and scavenge... <?>

Imagine if Peregrine Falcon is large size as Bald Eagle... that creature is nothing to stop, mostly death on earth. One blink, you're dead.

it was a fawn (baby deer), not fully-grown deer.

Okay I believe now. Honestly, I never heard of Eagle can do that.

An eagle can attack, kill, and carry away an animal as large as a small deer.

honestly- don't you guys remember your history? farmers used to shoot to the bald eagles as it was killings its livestock. same time DDT was ruining the eggs. Now its federally protected bird.
