Bad News for Verizon customers

I don't know, in a way that's good news for me because I've been avoiding dataplans because I can't really afford the unlimited plan (the only option they had at the time) but yeah, the unlimited should be there. I think people in the rural area (if they are within the range) need it for internet as well.

I wonder if this will affect my data only plan. No talking time but unlimited text and internet.

if you have old pricing plan stay contiune for your unlimited plan and cellular provider will no longer offered to new customers. if you have change your plan or you cancel your account, you will not get back to your old pricing plan.

No, you will be grandfathered to unlimited data if you are still Verizon customers before unlimited data dropped.

Verizon, quit copy att and please do on your own.

If you want an inexpensive cell phone, you can buy a cheap phone at a Target and purchase minutes. My kid has one and buys time with his allowance. Bonus is that a lost phone is not a disaster.

I would do that, but I'm on my husband's family plan. It's our only phone we have. We do not have landline. just cellphones and cable internet -- we have to have both for his work because he on call alot.

We don't have a landline phone service, but We do have Comcast High Speed Internet with Linksys Wi-Fi router, 2 HDTV cable converter box, 1 digital to analog converter box. I have post-paid T-mobile service for Blackberry Internet Service with unlimited text and picture message for Blackberry Curve 8900. My father have a prepaid cellular card called T-mobile to go plan with Gold Rewards, he use Samsung cellphone.

More bad news... Verizon will follow AT&T's data plan. They from Verizon won't offer unlimited data plan after July 29th. If Verizon will get iPhone 4, you will have to deal with data plan for iPhone 4.

Sprint and Verizon that current offer disability plan while ATT removed the 'TAP'. So I believe disability plan and TAP are different to use data usage. As there are fine print about 'abusing' the network data usage will get additional fee or a letter in your mail.

Verizon: Nationwide Messaging Plans

Sprint: Sprint Relay Store

It a disability plan who is Deaf user but for 'TAP' pretty much different...

ATT Wireless: Text Accessibility Plans for iPhone® - Wireless from AT&T

So it possible to follow... I use the videophone on Verizon usage about 700MB and haven't reach 2GB. I think that good enough if I choose Verizon with iPhone and that enough... in mean time thing will change as desktop is no longer and everything will go to smartphone user
