That is pretty cool plane, if i had a pilot license I would definitely fly that plane.

Looks nice for a $139,000 plane. I don't believe the plane can fly any higher like a regular plane can.

I can see it now...in addition to driveways, runways will start to be more common on large properties. I've noticed helicopters being used for recreation also.

I like it. I sure hope this airplane glides if engine cut off suddenly! Hey there are Deaf Pilot Assocation here in Gardner, KS. I learned there are about 5 to 8 deaf people have pilot license to fly small airplane.

It'll be nice to have one if I live by a lake

It's one thing to design a nice airplane.... but it's flying charistics might not be as nice as airplane looks.... seaplanes take lots maintence to fight corsion etc.
plus engine not as easy to work on due to its location

as for Deaf pilots Assc. they have more than 5 to 8 deaf pilots....think in USA there are about 80 deaf pilots but half those have died or no longer fly (age etc) in Europe and other countries they don't allow deaf to fly anything other than "ultra lights" he in USA the FAA allows deaf to fly what every they want (singles / twins etc they even allow you to have a Instrument rating now with restrictions (must have hearing person on aircraft) but new technology like heads up display "highway in sky" & data link might change all that.

the deaf pilots assc is having their annual fly in June 16th to 21 in Cornoa Calif www.deaf pilots.com click on fly in. link

I was flying a new 2007 Cessna skyhawk today with Garman GPS its nice

my thought exactly. It looks cool but when things look cool - I had a concern because it usually means they sacrifice vital functional parts for looks. I'm guessing it doesn't handle very well and it may be susceptible to even a mild turbulence that a small cessna plane can handle. but still..... it looks cool! i really love those starship fighter plane designs like you see in sci-fi shows.

What a coincidence thread... I saw Howard Hughes´s history movie yesterday.

i wonder can deaf pliot fly in jet? ??mmm??

of course they can, but they can't fly above 18,000 where class A airspace start's and Communication with air traffic controllers is required, they could get around that with hearing pilot flying with them... most jets required crew of two any way... some don't like the lighter Cessna citation jets and very light jets which are single pilot rated jets... still the pilots work load is pretty heavy...2nd pilot is nice to have...

as for me I prefer to fly the Cessna 172 / 182 down low..and slow (100 knots or less) 2000 to 8,000 feet.. you get nice view of the land.. topgraphy etc.

wow i learn something about that! thank!
so it would be nice fly alone in milatry jet with high tech (device for deaf such as relay CC from communicate , not like use small tv .. it more like little tdd something)

wonder can they do that? ooo! it would be very nice! *jump into jet and zoom as 1,400mph! * hehe!

Oh yea almost for got... the Cessna 172S rents from local FBO for $125 per hour wet (with fuel) a jet even if you owned it would cost you at least around 4 or 5 thousand dollars per hour to operate, for the cheaper models...the high line Jets cost even more per hour to operate. Jets are NOT CHEAP to own / operate.

A new 2008 Cessna 172S cost around $160 to 180K older Cessna 172 like a 1968 model or so with around 3000 hours on airframe and high time engine can be found for $30K and it will cost you at least $10K to overhaul the engine unless you have a FAA airframe & powerplant rating (license) like I do...then you can do it much cheaper..

"highway in sky" with heads up display and data link are two technology's that are coming that will allow deaf to fly with out hearing pilot on board in class A airspace in fact highway in sky is avaliable now but it cost couple thousand $$$ to have it installed on aircraft...as for data link.. I haven't been following the status / updates on that...

that's what new technology "Data link" does the air traffic controllers send data /instructions directly to you on aircraft.

whoa! jet costs alot! fainted! lol! but still not suprise that jet is very expensive!
when you say it , i drop my jaw! now i get an idea how much costs on those..
