When you are away from your home, for more than two months. When you come back home. What was your first thing on your mind you ve always wanted to do when you get home? :aw:

For example, you were away for college, or away for an intership job or travelling in other country or stay at someone else's home or anything that you were away from your home.

Why am I creating this pointless thread??

lol For some reason that X mas DO reminds me of myself when I was young that I was away to college. I was looking forward to come home and taste my favorite long island italian bread, bagel, pizza and ice! :D

Oh yeah. My childhood bed that I slept alll day in my childhood bed through from morning to afternoon. Then I was ready to go out at night.

Wirelessly posted

While attending college at EKU, I missed the authenic Mexican food. I really loved it in KY, kind of miss it. I can always come to California bec my family lives here. I miss Penn Station in KY also miss my deaf family and some college friends.

I sadly have never spent time away from home for anything longer than a few days. However, I can say that right now, I miss the traditional things we used to do for Christmas during my childhood.

Having had spent 6 weeks each term at boarding school.
Spent 8 weeks during summer holidays aboard at my grandparents in Menorca, I had spent many many months abroad for work/racing.
I left england for 18 months travelling round the world.

The most i looked forward to was my mum,dad and my brother, My pets, My dad's cooking, My bed, Warmth.

When I returned from 18 months away, I had huge culture shock!! I appericated how people survived in Africa, New zealand and south america, they lived in bad econmony. It taught me alot to be grateful for what I have got and a while to get back to routine. I also lost so much weight (i didn't need to loose weight beforehand I was 70kgs to began with but it was soooo hard to eat 6,000 calories every day when we were racing) and were very very fit, my family got too worried, they kept on and on about eating, So I went to doc to get letter to tell my parents to stop worrying!! I gained most of the weight back (now 63kgs) with normal healthy eating.

Since 2005 I haven't been away longer than 2 weeks, I missed my little dog so much, I dread to think how I would cope when I go to peru for few weeks (3-4??)

I always went straight to the shower, and stayed in long enough to be really decadent. I still do that, even if I've just been away for a short time. It is kind of my way to "close the door" on the day and tell myself it's time for "me" time.

And don't get me started on the spa treatments after the shower.....
