Hi. My case is similar to yours in a lot of ways. Lost all my hearing in only 4 months in my right ear whilst suffering severe vertigo attacks. Suffered extensive vestibular damage as well. Within a year my left ear has begun to deteriorate. I went totally deaf over Easter but it returned with 1 gram of methylprednisolone infusion at my work ( I'm a registered nurse).
My team are world leaders in the area (professor Halmagyi, professor Bill Gibson, Dr Welgampola). I have had everything else excluded ( vascular issues, lupus, Cogans, susacs, syphilis, Lyme, sarcoidosis, the list goes on.) All my autoimmune markers have been negative but I respond well to corticosteroids and my clinical presentation is classic AIED. I was on imuran but suffered severe vomiting when I restarted it after my CI op so am now on methotrexate
