Darn AT&T...my cable has been going off all week. I rebooted it but now it won't come back on at all. TV has a huge red X with the number 8 below it.

Friggin thing is driving me crazy!!!!! Hubby is on the phone with them, but it's Sunday, doubt if anyone will help.

I'm staying at a friends for temporary and using his AT&T U-verse. I didn't like it, and I know what you're saying with the big red "X" on tv. The cable is bad, so instead he let me use WIFI cable box but once a while it disconnects which is pita. Soon I'll be moving in my own place and have my Comcast cable back online. I prefer cable over anything else.

Hope it gets resolved with AT&T. :)

Two of my friends have AT&T cable TV. Do you have the current equipment? That may be why. One of those friends had a similar problem, and her equipment needed to be upgraded.

Tonight...of all nights!...Walking Dead comes on....I'm with Comcast....Feel sure they'll give you a refund...maybe even threaten to switch...might give ya a free month.

Oddly enough, I threatened to close my Clear account, and they FREAKED OUT, and quickly reduced my monthly charges to just $25/month. It's not for long, though-- only through April. Pretty sure they're freaking out again, cause I done told them I'd had enough.

Luckily hubby was home and he called customer service. We had already been booting it numerous times. He seldom watches tv, me sadly watch a lot due to my health being really bad right now.

AT&T was able to get it to work BUT it lost ALL of my recordings. I had over 30 programs recorded over a long period of time and their gone.

AT&T will come out Wednesday to replace our equipment which is new.

Hubby switches back from different companies when they have their specials. For now it's AT&T. ERRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!

We have the complete package with them. Phone, cable and internet. Not sure if that is what other areas do???? I refuse to use AT&T cel phone package, they ticked me off once and never, ever again. I actually drove around with a big AT&T sign with an X through it on my rear car window. That is how bad they ticked me off. I am a very calm person, but dealing with rude customer service people puts me over the top.

I would have really been ticked if this happened when hubby could not call them. I hate not being able to use the phone.

One of my Deaf friends has AT&T cable and Internet, and she has a ntouch VP connected to that Internet, for which she pays monthly for.

I have been deaf for going on three years now. I have to admit I need to learn more about products that will help me become more independent. I do rely on my hubby to deal with issues that I use to handle with no problems.

I have a Cap-Tel phone, it is free here in California. I hate it though. The delay drives me crazy and the few times I have tried calling any company customer service, I usually get hung up on.

I only have internet and TV with Comcast, I don't use landline phone anymore as texting made it easier as well as instant messaging.

The reason they hang up is possibly because of the delay you mentioned. Are you fluent in ASL yet, or are you still learning? If you know enough ASL, you might want to try and apply for a videophone. That'll help make things go a LOT faster. I don't own my own VP, buy I DO have a VP on my laptop, which is free of charge.

Calvin.....Hubby needs the landline for when he works from home, otherwise it would be gone too.

Mark.....No nowhere close to being fluent in ASL. I'm trying but no one around me uses it so I lose what I learn pretty fast. Also after my illness my short term memory is awful.

May I suggest buying an ASL book so you can learn?

Why a book when we have the internet!!?

Cause that's the only thing I know about learning ASL. I am not aware of any sites that teaches ASL for free, although if there were, I'd love to tell my parents.
