I think they are after more subcribers more than anything else.

I doubt about that. but AT&T Ceo said, He would give up T-Mobile customers and more willingly divest them to different carries if FCC and DOJ force to, but he really wanted to keep all TMO Spectors so badly more than t mobile customers from what I've read articles.

I wonder what my next phone will be considering this takeover.

I've heard some bloggers and rumors (from people) felt suspected & said that T-Mobile possibly join MVNO, if AT&T force to divested them.

I know that T-Mobile users are very happy for AT&T and T-Mobile break up. AT&T need to stay away from T-Mobile for sure.
