ASL Student

Shadow,

Not being deaf myself, I am sure I am less aware of the discriminations than those who are. I also have to admit that the people in my ASL class are more aware and open-minded in regards to the deaf community and culture than probably the average hearing person.

I agree you

Hi dorothy i agree you are right. I don't want to discriminations ot people who are hurt to people. I understand you are right. I don't want to trouble because you are right. Be careful don't hurt to peopel thank peacefu to respect to other people

I just want to thank everyone for all the welcomes. I have to be honest that I was a little nervous about joining AD as the result of the required reading for last semester. The title of the book is "Journey into the Deaf World." The book spent a considerable amount of time emphasizing the animosity that the Deaf have for the hearing world. In my few experiences into the Deaf World, I don't see the animosity. I have, however, had some very welcoming experiences. Meeting people who are warm and welcoming, :ty:willing to help we hearies to learn and expand our knowledge of the Deaf Community and its beautiful language.
