My name is Emerald. I am a hearing student and began to be interested in ASL when I was young. Last year I got a job to learn ASL as an apprenticeship and knew I wanted to further my signing when I went to a picnic and was able to sign with other people besides my teacher. I really hope to learn more to improve how I sign so that I am able to expand who I talk to and make more friends.

Thats awesome! Im a first year student this fall, have been practicing for about 4mo prior to school lol! Am looking forward to stepping out into the deaf community soon (finding my brave face)
