ask

oh, i agree completely. i was just curious to know if you could see cars at all.

are you able to see better in sunny weather as opposed to cloudy weather?

also, are there specific colors that you can see better than others?

hope you don't mind these questions. if you'd rather not answer them, that's fine. :) as a totally blind person, i'm just curious about how legally blind people see.

when it comes to writing notes, or the whiteboard in school, i prefer black. any other color is lost to me.

i'm not surprised. alot of legally blind people i know like to write notes using a thick felt tip pen and paper with bold lines.

i'm curious. how well do you see the color red? i heard in blind rehab that it's an excellent "low vision color."

yup, its called a 20/20 pen. i love mine. i will lend it to no one! any other pen you can have, just leave the 20/20 pen.

as to the color red... not for me. it just isnt dark eanough to contrast well.

yes, i've heard of the 20/20 before. from what i understand, that pen creates nice, bold, thick lines. one of my good friends who is legally blind uses one.

oh, okay. one of my teachers at blind rehab explained that the reason why red was such a good low vision color was because it wasn't too dark nor too bright for people to see. she also mentioned that people with less vision do have more difficulty seeing it due to the fact that it doesn't offer alot of contrast.

thats interesting. they need to make a red 20/20 pen so i can try it out.

yup. they write like a sharpie, but without the odor.

you're right about sharpies. i made the mistake of buying one from walgreen's (before i had my own computer) so i could write my own notes to my parents using a handwriting guide and i couldn't stand the smell. :(

i agree, they give me a headache.

scented markers do the same for me. i remember when i was little, one of my teachers forced me to color with them since i could identify them by color because of their scent. i hated using those blasted things. :mad2:
