Ask Senator Eggert

Are you for gay marrages? Would you raise taxes?

For Gay Marriage, I would support that. Whatever gay couple do in bedroom aren't my business. Some of my gay couple friends live together/own house, and they act like married couple. I don't see anything wrong with that.

I wouldn't raise taxes, no thanks. Have to find soloution to manage budget.

Hey dont run for president id wouldnt vote for you. Cause i want gay marrages not part of our consitution. Gays dont deserve rights because even in a place of employment youre at risk contracting AIDS. I belive the boss has the right to refuse to hire you and fire you because youre gay. I belive medical insurance companies should not insure you if they find out youre gay. Its your right to marry same sex but once you do that you give up just about every right you have. Suppose you get sick ok? no insurance apply for medicaid and you can have medical treatment or draw the money outta your bank account. Thats the way i look at it.

I plan to run for prez someday anyways.. Some of my GLBT friends are elected officials, so whats wrong with that? I am not scared of GLBT people. I don't want to start aruge here..

I do freelance volunteer work on political campaigns in twin cities, and I'm on active duty for DCCC (Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee), in case if other state have special election, like during memorial day weekend I was called on to go to South Dakota to deal with special congressional campaign over there. I'm also prennial (?) candidate, and I'm Student Senator/ Legislative Director for my college. Its great way to serve the country since I can't go into military.

I'm deafblind, and I have ushers syndrome.

Scuba,
Ya can just IM me whenever I'm online.I know I don't use computer too often since I got SK 2... I try to be on computer much as possible. With upcoming legislative session, I'll be spending lot of time @ state capitol as well, and I'm trying to get laptop too.

Huggs racheleggert...

Wow.. I truly agreed with all your decisions of running in MN!! yes, we need to get our economy clean up.. that Jesse made the mess.. its so sad.. makes us (Minnesotans) suffered..

Sometimes I often wanted to write to goverment to give us break once in while with tax, gas price, and food... since we worked so hard to keep things managed and budged our incomes with high tax and prices and food..

I am very close to fed up of this MN.. and move east to be with my man's family.. but we can wait.. till my man's job loss or whatever.. then we will move.. but its still hard on our living cost.. (sigh).. we have large family.. we have 6 kids.. and renting house.. eek..

:)

what has Jesse has done screw up in Minnesota ??? Thanks god that I am no longer live in Minnesota !! smile ...

People of minnesota are stupid for electing a pro wrestler. Thats like marylanders voting for cal ripken jr for governor of maryland.

That time I wasn't old enuff to vote. We all already learn our lesson after what Jesse did to MN. My friends in Legislature really hate him. He was so stupid for accusing one of them touching him during a TV show, shes just a feeling-feely person, and she have done same with everyone inculding me. After that happen, someone made stickers for my friends to wear that say "Don't Touch Me!", they mimiced Jesse, which I think its funny. He had no respect for my friends, so they returned the same thing. Thak god he decided not to run again in 2002. Now we have governor that is better than Jesse even if he tried to take both sides of parties in legislature to work together to finish up 2004 session. We was going to have Special Session but Gov. Pawlenty decided not to have it. If we have special session, it cost more money from taxpayers. Last time we had special session was back in 2003, and it adjourned a week before my graduation day.

Hey dear..

guess what??

 Happy New Year neighbor! have a safe one..

Just cross fingers that 2005 will bring us (minnesotans) the better economy..
and health! :)

seecha! :bye:

There is a lot of discussion in several states regarding Native American issues, including the state of Wisconsin. I find that many legislators from other states lack knowledge of the federally recognized tribes that are located within their states. Their lack of knowledge often hurts the remaining culture of these tribes when it comes to passing legislation. How 'Indian Friendly' is Wisconsin, and I'd be interested to learn your opinions on many of the issues affecting Native Americans in your state...such as education, land disputes, gaming, and most importantly (to me) the preservation of tribal culture as well as enviromentalism surrounding these tribes (the Blockade at Bad River comes to mind). Your thoughts and feedback are greatly appreciated.
