Arkansas got Flood!!

Yeah Fayetteville got around 4-6 inches of the white stuff overnight. It may have gotten above freezing up there today so some of it may have melted off.

Lucky! We didn't get any down here, but my mother did say there was a bit of light snow on the roof this morning. It's really cold here tonight though so I think some ice will be in tow tomorrow morning.

Move to Western Ark. Russellville is a good place to start. It's a college town that's got what you need. And yes we've got Starbucks, a Walmart Supercenter, and we're slated to get a new strip mall with Target and TJ Maxx as the anchor stores.

And don't forget Conway! Though it is just half an hour away though.

Conway is nice, it's got 2 universities. UCA and Hendrix. One private, one public. That town has exploded with business in the last decade, despite losing the bus factory.

Alright, let's vote on the erosion of Arkansas.

I vote yes.

Not nice, man.

Arkansas could be least popular state like Alabama does but some people still love their area so not nice to say the area should washed out, even you want Sara and Dixie to be gone.

Since I live here, too...guess I would say keep Arkansas, too! LOL. Guess I need to invest in a good boat!

I have driven through Arkansas..it is beautiful. So green and so undisturbed in many areas. I wouldnt want it eroded away. Besides our Arkansas ADers are just too cool so I still would like to keep them here. :)

Hey you guys! I was born in Little Rock. Someday everyone will want to make pilgrimages to the place of my birth.

Arkansas must survive!!!

Your kidding. Born in Harrison, Ar and raised in Siloams Springs til the age of 10.

I'll have to advertise for Hendrix, because it a beautiful campus and is a relatively small college but that's the beauty of it.
The town has gotten more business but I think it's more of "kill the old, build the new" kind of deal. There are some parts that have actually been abandoned in favor of a different side of town.

My father was a professor at Arkansas State Teacher's College. Now it is part of Uni or AR. Our house that we had has been turned into apartments for college students. Gil Girard (Buck Rogers of the 25th Century tv show) was in my father's German class and was one of my baby sitters. My father also had a photography studio there. It was sold when we had to move to Florida for my father's health.

Not kidding, but I left at 14 months old, so my only memory is a family vacation we took when I was about 11 or 12.

:squint: to the two people who said they wanted Arksansas to erode! That's just not cool to say, even if you may think it.

One of my best friends lived there for a number of years and relatives on my Mother's side came from Arkansas as well. Also, others seem to think it's a cool place, so I guess naysayers can just :blah: if they want. To each their own, I suppose. *shrug*
