Apartment shutting down?!

The way the economy is now, people are not making money selling their homes. They are loosing money.

Then keep the house and dont mean lost the money. House payment is short time in soon or later and rents is forever and never done. So If you rent the apartment for 20 years then waste of money.

That just puts you in a deeper financial crisis.

Like I said only way to avoid lost the house.

Unfortunately, many, many people don't have the option of keeping their house. It is being taken away through foreclosure, and they loose all the money and time they have invested.

No, just a good way to loose your house and your credit card.

Credit cards have high interest rates if you don't pay your bills on them. It's best to get a home that you can afford the payments for so you will always have enough each month for the payment.

There's someone visiting my landlord who has an apartment in the same village and I just talked with her, so I hope it's possible to move there. It'd be nice to stay in the same town where my work is.

Hope it works out for you.

Trick.. I learned from someone and it really work great.

Just apply new credit cards and no interest rates for 6 to 12 months.

6-12 months later the apply other new credit card then transfer to new credit cards then cancel old credit card.

Also, I just did and work great. No problem!

I have few problems with that.

First, it hurts your FICO score by applying for credits so often (within 24 months)..

Secondly, many banks now are only giving credits with 0% or very low rates to people with very strong credit scores due to credit crisis.

Lastly, carrying high balance without paying off each month at 0% or very low rates are VERY risky.. If you are late one payment, or late on other creditors, the bank (usually ALL banks) usually raise your rate to high.. When this happens you end up deeper debt or get stuck in debt that you can't climb out.

Saving at least 6 months of actual cash in bank is better (you get to earn interests yourself) than using credit card as emergency.

I tell you this from my experiences, even I have perfect credit histories for over 15 years. Being in debt locks you in cycle of debt for very long time - I couldn't save much as I was living paycheck to paycheck.. I finally paid off all my credit cards last year and I finally have alot of $$ to save without worrying about being in deep debt if I lose my job or become sick.

I do still use my CC all the times for food, gas, and minors stuffs as long I commit myself to pay the balance in FULL each month. I do that to earn points (cash back) and security in my purchases online. (Paying FULL each month = no interests charged to you and it is "free" short term loan.)

Richard, you are right, that is how credit cards should be used, by paying it in full each month instead of piling up debt. I spend less than what I earn so I have money piling up, ready for any large payments, like I will have to do when moving to the new apartment.

Very true... I use CC since 1999 and pay full each months too but apply other CC for emergency only if you dont have money. One CC is normal and good for build up the credit and other CC is good for emergency only but good for short time. yes, Loan always risk.

You made good point and thank you.

I will go see a nice pretty apartment in the morning! :D It's on the street north of my current one.

Where in Fellows Balls (oops..I mean Bellows Falls) are you?

I know people that live or lived there.

Right now, I'm on Hapgood Street. The apartment I'll visit is north of that on South Street. I walked by it last afternoon and it looked nice.

Eh, not too familiar with street names. The last time I was in your area though was last August. Went to the fireworks there.

Couldn't go this year (work).

Been to the Dari Joy once as well and have an ex-g/f (sort-of) that grew up there and lives somewhere in Saxtons River (hearing, but knows ASL).

I haven't been to Dari Joy yet. I pass it on the way to work all the time. I went to the fireworks this year. I have the weekends off from work so I had fun. I also haven't been to Saxtons River yet. :giggle: I know of a place there that I could look at if nothing works out in BF. Someone else from work is moving out of the Saxtons River place so the production manager at work, who also lives in that village, told me about that. He also told me about the one I will visit in the morning.

I haven't met your friend yet.

Good thing you haven't met her. She's a drug addict that just lost custody of her son (by another man). Good thing I stopped talking to her years ago.

Anyway, that's a nice area still. There's a brewpub in Saxtons River I need to check out sometime. Just opened as well. Fellows Balls is a decent place. I prefer Brattleboro. I lived part-time in Brattleboro for 6 years while at Austine.

Right now, I'm up in Burlington.

Ok thanks. :ty: I looked primary in BF because my work is in the same town up Route 5. I've been to Brattleboro to meet the VR person and a deaf friend and found some apartments there, but the traffic is nutty in some places downtown.

Yeah it is. I think the community down there is more scattered than up by Burlington, which has a pretty active deaf club and more younger deafies.

Yes it seems like that when looking at the DeafVermont events, which list a lot in Burlington. I won't be going to the Burlington ones very often because that is 100 miles away. I'm going to visit a pretty apartment very soon at 11. :D

I was at the new apartment and it's very nice on the outside. The keys are locked inside so the landlord will need help to get it out. I don't mind because old people forget things sometimes. :) There's a deck for each apartment on the back and lots of pretty flowers and plump red tomatoes. So somebody there is a good gardener. :D I may go back there today to see the inside if they get it unlocked. It just needs a little work and then it will be ready to move in.

Sounds like a nice place; did you put a hold on it?
