Anyone putting up Christmas Tree, before or after Thanksgiving??

we will be putting up a tree after Thanksgiving! :)
 
Oh my family already put up their outside Christmas lights/decorations and their Christmas tree is already up and decorated. It is safe to say we're always the very first ones on the block to decorate the house and the tree because we do it like the first week of November but we don't plug the lights on until after Rememberance Day.
 
Not until second week of December.

November we decorate with Thanksgiving and autumn style, such as Indian corn on the front door, pumpkins, autumn leaves, turkeys (not alive, ha, ha).

First week of December is neutral--no special decorating--I like to have a "space" between holidays. Also, Hubby's birthday is during first week of December, so I like to celebrate his birthday separate from Christmas.

Second week of December my vacation from work begins. I start decorating for Christmas then. We don't decorate too much. Indoors we have a nativity scene, Christmas tree with nautical decorations, small fiber optic tree in front entry, a few things on the fireplace mantel, and a table centerpiece. Outdoors we string lights on the front porch, hang a wreath on the front door, and decorate the mailbox.
 
sure will put it up after thanksgiving... that will be more space in basement! :D

Actually, I am still cleaning the basement after the GREAT move of October...*sigh*...hopefully I will finish this weekend!!!

It's not so bad anymore...a lot of boxes are gone, just a bit of a mess right now.

Yes, we do plan to put up the tree during Thanksgiving weekend - we need to move a piece of furniture before we can do that.

Oh lord.... Nightmare!!! LOL, which remind me of my sister's house, oh my, never forget the time when my sister and her husband had high Christmas Spirit, soon after Thanksgiving, put up the lights, whhhooaaa bright enough to guide the aircrafts from the sky. Funny thing, the lights caused several blackouts.

My family will put up x mas tree tomorrow since we don't go to realtives... We already putted up outside lighting on house last week when we had warm weather. we was first one in our neighborhood to do that.

My sister and her family put their decoration and tree the day after Thanksgiving.

As for me and Kim, we don't really decorate until about second week of December, but the decoration is to stay up until Jan 7th.

This year, I am hoping to have tree up on 11th December, two days before we fly to the East Coast to visit my family for a week.

We bought tons of Christmas stuff from after Christmas sales last year, so we are ready to decorate!
 
set up christmas tree already but havent decorate untill after thanksgiving.. so i am letting my son put decorating on christmas tree.

we'll get it sometime in the first or second week of december.

doing mine after thanksgiving will be doing this when i finish mowing..... i work friday night so wanna do this before going to work....
