Oysters are hugely popular here; they have festivals for them. People here have individual shucking knives with their names engraved, and fancy handles. It's a big cultural thing.
Myself, I can only eat them if they are fresh, breaded and deep fried, dunked in tartar sauce, and eatten while still hot.
I prefer steamer clams and mussels.
