Anyone like potato salad?

I am not absolutely crazy about potato salad.. I will put my nose up like a tabby cat...

LOL I didn't say I hate them.. just that I am not crazy.. I'll take deviled eggs over potato salad everyday!

It look ugly to you but a lot of Americans LOVE Bavarian potato salad after tried it for a first time... Alot Americans prefer to go German canteen to get Bavarian potato salad. I work for US Government and see them everyday, that's why.

I bet you will like it after try for a first time.

My friends love Bavaria potatoe salad after tried my homemade... Ask Opal... :)

I re-read Boult's post after your post... Oh yes, you were right that Boult prefer deviled eggs to potato salad.

Yes, I do the same as you to add hard boiled eggs on top of a potato salad, also fresh chive as well... mmmhhh

I haven't tried Bavarian potato salad yet but I'd like to try it one day.

Try this guys---

Boil or steam up some potatoes (I like the yellows or red-skinned, but your choice) until they are fork-tender. Cut them into the desired size you like (about 1" - 2" usually). Generously drizzle with olive oil. and season with salt and pepper to taste. Lightly drizzle with apple cider vinegar or lemon juice (or lime juice). In addition, a light drizzle of terriyaki or soy sauce is good. Put in the refrigerator, covered, until chilled. Cut up a few green onions, tomatos (or use cherry or grape tomatos), some finely diced celery and/or carrot. A bit of sliced, seeded cucumber is great too.

Sprinkle generously with some dried (or fresh if possible) basil and oregano, or other herbs of your choice. Dill is delicious too, especially if fresh.

This is a great potato salad for taking out in the heat because there is no mayo to go bad and cause food-poisoning.

Ha ha---not sure it cures fear of potato salad though.
 
I love potatoes salad and I make them in the summer time here. Everyone like my homemade potatoes salad and even my mother ask me how do I make it cos she like it too. Everytime I make a big bowl of it, it disappears quickly. If any left over, my hubby eat them for his breakfast next day! :eek3: lol
