anyone like foreign movie with english sutitle?

I love Zatoichi. I've only seen a few, but there are 26 movies, over a hundred tv speicals, and allll featuring and starring Shintaro Katsu. The 2003 Zatoichi is by Takashi, shows some CGI, and I thought was good. It got me interested in the orgiginal Zatoichis.

here's the movie i found. the name of the j-horror movie called "Reincarnation" i've seen it and it's not that bad. have you seen it?
 
I love to watch foreign subtitles movies and even silent films as well. They are wonderful to watch and enjoy. It just like closed caption.
 
i liked watching foreign films since a long time ago, back like 20 years, when VHS was the rage, becuase i felt included in the viewing experience, also foreign films tends to have different approaches in story-telling, often liken "slice of life", american films are boring, always goodies vesus badies in the lamest sense, although they ahd improved but its a slow progress, surely special effects are miles ahead of everyone else. There are exceptions some small countries (like NZ) had produced amazing bigtime movies.

There's a japanese film I'd like to recommend but ive forgotten the title, its an erotic at same time an introspection into the Japanese culture in the 1920's when there was rapid changes occuring as connection with west grew, about a giesha. Unreal film. Madonna had seen it and says its one of the best she's even seen, I reckon she's not kidding either. wish i know the name of it, sorry. :(

ps. one of the hong kong's film I would recommend is "Hardboiled" it blew my socks off, real good actioner.

Hmm... I haven't. It does sound like an interesting movie.

I'll probably rent it tomorrow at Blockbuster Video. :)
 
I have many DVD with foreign subtitles including English (7 or 8 different foreign languages).

Sometimes I saw foreign movies with original German subtitles.

I just finished watching it.

Turns out that I've already seen it a couple years back.

The original title is Rinne.

Rinne (2005)

When the movie started playing, everything seemed too familiar.

I fast-forwarded through some of it and realized that I had already seen it.

It was an okay movie. Yes, it's a bit scary... but not as scary as I thought it would be.
