Since this is going to be my second post in this forum as well as on Alldeaf.com, I apologize in advance if this topic may have been already used. Anyway, I am wondering if there is any known online bereavement support group for deaf and hard of hearing people who have recently lost their spouse.

My late wife recently passed away a month ago from her heart surgery (it was her fifth), and I am just wondering if I can locate an online group to chat with those who recently lost their spouse.

Thanks in advance for those providing suggestions in this thread.

So sorry to hear about your loss. You might want to check and see if a large local church has such a group. Once a hearing church gets around 750 - 1000 people, they often hire an interpretter and begin to develop a deaf ministry, which might include this type of grieving support group. Alternatively, you may have an all deaf church in your area. I live in a city with a population of about 200,000, and there is an all deaf church in town (Lutheran I believe).

My church does have one, but it meets at the same time I lead a local deaf christian fellowship. However, I will talk with the guy leading that group and see if there is another day and time to be part of that group. I will have to work that out with my church interpreter.
