Anyone ever been to a rodeo?

Glad to see that cow punching event is not included in either of these two events. :D

bull dogging is when a cowboy rides up next to a steer, grabs its horns, slides down from the horse and then uses his legs and weight to wrestle the steer over on its side. The fastest time win. You need strong legs to get the steer to slow down and then strong arms to twist the head back by the horns so that the steer has no choice but to lie down.

I've seen skinny 90-pound weaklings take down 1,000 plus pounds of beef on hoofs down in less than a minute.

it is exactly what it sounds like...

think of greyhound racing. Now substitute pigs for greyhounds.

OINK!

I have been to several rodeos. Small town rodeos tend to be free and an all-day event. And tons of booths set up with reasonable priced food to serve. Come to think of it, maybe the twins know something about food and rodeos. ;)

In the city rodeos tend to be a 2 to 3 hour event and you have to pay up a pretty penny to get in, even the food is too pricy.

Most rodeos are that way. Most of them are sponsored by PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association), anyway.

You have been asking us many questions..
and guys getting prizes.. Of course they get prizes just like trophy and belt buckles..

if you dont know what it is.. look up in the engine sreach or www.

::smh::

I aint been ride on the rodeo. Even though, I want to give me a try to ride on the rodeo in future events when I get right time in right place. Because I am part of cowboy, I am original from oklahoma which is my homeland!

I think you will have a good time at the rodeo. I grew up as a townie but I enjoy the rodeo.

The cable station "The Outdoor Channel" on Wednesday nights, 10 p.m., shows bull riding. It might be a different time in your location.

Why not try that by going to the daytona 500, The superbowl or even the world series. Its not that simple. Its much much harder to buy tickets to the daytona 500, The superbowl and the world series than it is going to regalar NFL or baseball game.

I've been to a couple local rodeos over the years.....have even been to what's considered the Grandaddy of em all in Wyo. But I hear the real biggie, as far as the rodeo circuit goes is in Canada....Calgary, I believe. I'm not sure how Calgary gets that distinction; whether its for the money or the prestige and grandeur of the events.....

Lol, Meg! Dang near stifled my Coke thru my nostrils! Great comeback!

For most of those events you have to buy the tickets very, very early. I know the tickets to the Indy500 sell out at least one year in advance.
