It's possible that I may adopt a child in the distant future (ten years*.) I have one little one already, and not into large families. Anyone considering it?

my partner and I are considering adoption, it wouldn't be for a while because we are still young, but it is something we are looking into. Its impossible for us to get pregnant naturally.

I wish you luck.

I would love to but it is kinda of hard to find any guy actually will to adopt. Most men I know who prefer to have their own kids by blood. =/

if suppose your serious on name required on name change reason last I remember foster parents adopt your baby then legal is very adoption approval

If my woman and I couldn't have kids, we might consider adopting. :)

you should PM GrendelQ. She has an adopted deaf Chinese daughter from China...and the girl is SUPER ADORABLE!!! <3 <3

I believe if he loves you enough, and realizes that love is love and its something you want to do, then he might soften to the idea.

my guy and I can't naturally have kids, we've pondered going to a fertility clinic and trying a IUI first. Wont be for awhile though, its something we're saving on.

If that doesn't work, we may try to adopt, but I'm weary about it only because of the requirements, fees... I don't think I could meet up front. :(

In NY, you can adopt for free, so maybe in your state. The kids aren't usually babies, but you never know.

you can do foster to adopt... sometimes the kids to go another home is the thing... but sometimes you get to legally adopt them, and the state pays for the adoption fee (in CA). My mom and dad adopted my 4 younger siblings that way. the oldest was 5 when the adoption went through (just last year), they had them for 3 years before that. Its a risk though, that they may go back to their birth parents or another relative, as two of the little ones my mom and dad had did... but it really cuts the costs down and lets you help kids in need. CA wouldn't tell you that you can't foster or adopt because of your hearing... and if you learn ASL they could be more apt to but a dhh kid with you because you could help them grow and obtain language, as well as understand what they were going through more. Just an idea.

Really? My man doesn't mind adoption. His grandmother was adopted. His step-grandfather's great nephew adopted a baby two years ago. If we do, we would like to adopt a deaf child.
