Hi, I'm Kris, and I lost all my hearing last year. My left ear went deaf early in 2008 and my right ear started to go deaf last summer. I was completely deaf by the end of October 2008. I had cochlear implant surgery in December, and am still struggling with learning to hear with it. I am taking ASL at the American School for the Deaf in West Hartford, CT.

I'd love to meet other deaf people (locally or from anywhere) and become part of the community. I have lots of interests and get along well with anybody who has a good sense of humor...bonus points if you like Superman :)

Hi Kris! How old are you? I'm green with envy you being able to take ASL at ASD. Ask your insturctor for any Deaf events in the area.

I am from Massachusetts, btw. I went to New London, CT to take ferry rides to Orient Point, LI, to visit my whole family last week. I arrived here yesterday. It was smooth rides.

I just applied to be a volunteer at ASD to help out and get to meet people. There's really not a whole lot going on in the area for Deaf events, but I think it'll be fun to volunteer at the school. I like kids and will be able to learn more ASL and faster, too :D
